Loving People

At PBC, we believe that life-transforming relationships are key to our spiritual growth. Our love for people deepens as we apply God's truth to our relationships.

What does that mean? We were created to love one another. We need other people. It is not possible to live an authentic Christian life without others to support, challenge, and encourage you. We glorify God by showing our love for each other. But knowing that we must love one another and actually loving one another can sometimes be hard if we don't recognize that the church is not a community free from relational conflict.

Jesus counseled his followers not only to love God but to love people. In Matthew 22:39 he says, "Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself."

What does that look like? We feel that life-transforming relationships are best built in a small group environment. Therefore, we encourage our members to enter into authentic relationships with each other through our small groups ministry with the intention of growing in our love for people and with a willingness to be changed. “If you are interested in joining or leading a small group, contact the church office.
